Many people go nuts for Nando’s (there are over 350,000 Nando’s fans on Facebook). Farm’s task was to encourage trial amongst non-users by communicating everything that Nando’s loyalists love about the place (the fresh, flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken, the ‘help yourself’ approach to service, the heartfelt generosity and the vibrant, sociable atmosphere). We called this the 'Spirit of Nando's' and set about spreading the word.
Results
The ‘Spirit of Nando’s’ campaign launched in press and radio in late 2009 and immediately contributed to Nando’s most successful trading week ever. Since the start of the year, Nando's Facebook following has grown by 50,000.
